ROUTE 420 TRAVEL CLUB MEMBERSHIP TERMS

1. Who operates the Travel Club

1.1The Route 420 Travel Club is currently promoted through the Rolling Stoner website by Rolling Stoner (Pty) Ltd. Route 420 travel-platform services and future travel transactions may be delivered by Rolling Stoner Travel and Tours (Pty) Ltd.

1.2The relevant form or offer must identify which company is collecting the information and which company is providing the specific benefit. Where membership information is shared from Rolling Stoner to RSTT to provide Route 420 access or travel-related features, the Privacy Notice and form must disclose that sharing.

2. Eligibility and age

2.1Membership is for persons aged 18 years or older. By joining, you confirm that you are 18+ and that the information supplied is accurate.

2.2Travel Club membership does not authorise unlawful purchase, possession, use, supply, transport or public consumption of cannabis and does not exempt a member from venue, transport, workplace, road-safety or other laws.

3. Current membership and future benefits

3.1Unless a specific paid offer states otherwise, Travel Club membership is free.

3.2Benefits may include access to community updates, Smoke Signals, curated routes, early feature access, digital content, partner offers, giveaways, travel/lifestyle specials and future rewards. Benefits may be added, withdrawn, substituted or made subject to separate eligibility or partner terms.

3.3Membership does not guarantee that a particular partner, prize, reward, route, offer or feature will always be available.

3.4Complimentary digital magazine access is a personal, limited licence to access the relevant digital edition. It does not transfer copyright or the right to redistribute the edition.

4. Smoke Signals

4.1Members who submit Smoke Signals must separately accept the Smoke Signals Posting, Moderation & Social Sharing Terms.

4.2Travel Club membership does not guarantee approval of a Smoke Signal. All submissions remain subject to moderation, safety, privacy, conservation and cannabis-law rules.

5. Offers, discounts and third-party partners

5.1Partner offers are provided subject to availability, eligibility, expiry dates and the partner's own terms. Unless expressly stated, Rolling Stoner and RSTT are not the supplier of the third-party product or service.

5.2Members must independently assess third-party services and travel risks. A partner feature is not a guarantee of safety, legal compliance, availability or fitness for purpose.

6. Giveaways and promotional competitions

6.1Any "stand a chance to win" promotion, prize draw or giveaway will be governed by separate competition rules identifying the promoter, entry period, eligibility, prize, draw method, winner contact process, restrictions and applicable partner terms.

6.2Travel Club membership alone does not guarantee entry into every promotion unless the specific rules say so.

6.3No winner may be compelled to permit use of their image, participate in marketing or attend a public announcement as a condition of receiving a prize where applicable law gives the winner the right to decline.

6.4Cannabis, THC or other regulated products must not be offered as general Travel Club prizes unless a separate legal review confirms that the precise prize, supplier and transfer mechanism are lawful. The general Travel Club rules do not authorise supply or dealing in cannabis.

7. Marketing and communications

7.1Joining the Travel Club should not automatically opt a person into unrelated direct marketing. The form should contain a separate, unticked marketing choice if Rolling Stoner/RSTT wishes to send optional promotional messages.

7.2Members may unsubscribe from optional marketing at any time. Essential notices about a competition entered, security, account or requested service may still be sent where necessary.

8. Member conduct

• Do not use the club to facilitate unlawful cannabis sales, product delivery, public consumption or other illegal activity.
• Do not harass other members or partners, spam, impersonate others or misuse member information.
• Do not misrepresent yourself as an employee, agent or official spokesperson of Rolling Stoner or Route 420.
• Respect landowners, communities, nature, wildlife and destination rules when using club routes or discoveries.

9. Suspension and ending membership

9.1A member may unsubscribe from optional communications and request closure of the membership profile, subject to lawful retention of necessary records.

9.2Rolling Stoner/RSTT may suspend or end membership for fraud, abuse, serious policy breaches, unlawful conduct, threats, misuse of promotions or conduct that creates material safety, legal or platform risk.

10. Privacy

10.1Personal information is processed under the applicable Privacy / POPIA Notice. The Travel Club form should clearly state whether data is collected by Rolling Stoner, RSTT or both for identified purposes.

10.2Member information must not be disclosed to a prize partner for unrelated marketing without a lawful basis and appropriate notice/consent. Only the information reasonably needed to fulfil a prize or service should be shared.

11. Travel services

11.1Any future booking of a tour, flight, accommodation, transfer or activity is a separate transaction subject to RSTT Booking Terms and, where applicable, third-party supplier/ticketing terms. Travel Club membership does not itself create a booking contract.

12. Liability, governing law and changes

12.1These Terms are governed by South African law and may be updated for legal, product or programme changes. Material changes should be communicated reasonably.
